And The Saga Continues.....

Sometimes things just go crazy around here. At the beginning of the month my daughter has to track down her payee and go over what she can expect for the month. She usually has her bills paid by the payee and then half of what is left is sent to her debit card on the 1st. Then the second half is sent mid month. That helps us to have money available for groceries and what we need. My daughter expected money put on her debit card this past Monday. Her present payee had said she would put the remainder on her debit card on the 14th. Cami and I were depending on this money because Josh will be home all next week and there is nothing for his lunches or milk for his breakfasts. Cami was going to get some groceries with that money that never has appeared.
You folks may have read the adventure she and I went on a few days ago trying to track down her new payee. Since we found out there is to be a new one the old one has gone incommunicado. Her voice box is full now and that recording hasn't changed. And, she wasn't one to answer emails but I have been sending them. Once at the beginning of the week and now one today.
I am so sick of this! Did she just go on vacation for the holidays? Is she trying to square up with all her clients before the end of the month? Or is she just not being irresponsible?
I really hate it when people, who are supposed to be professionals, drop the ball. Rarely is there even an "I'm sorry!" Yet when the tables are turned and we make a blunder we are called on the carpet and made to feel like lower life forms.

@celticeagle Like a different #, an office where you can be transferred to her office perhaps? Or report her because you are unable to contact her.

This is a Social Security program that is making the payments, right? Is it possible to contact the Social Security Administration and ask what your next steps should be with the payee being completely out of touch? Surely there has to be some recourse for Cami in this situation...

That is what we have done. She didn't answer either. Will continue to try to get someone on Monday. We called the SSA office to get the correct number for the new payee. That was an adventure in patience.

Are you able to contact the payee's supervisor? I always like to go to the top if I know who it is. Very unfair that you have to suffer because someone isn't doing their job

We are going to work on it some more next week. Irritating that things like this always seem to come up on a Friday. Murphy's Law I guess.

Very irritating. No reason why my daughter has to pay the price when the payee isn't responsible.

Even I don't like unprofessional people... I can't stand them.
When you have some responsibilities you should fulfill them
