The Mouthguard Challenge

Have you heard of the Mouthguard Challenge? I can't remember the name of the movie but it was just this past year when Melissa McCarthy wore a mouthguard in a movie. Talk shows and vloggers have been putting these mouthguards in and trying to talk, trying to eat, etc. I know of two youtubers who actually got a Mouthguard Challenge Game patented... by two different toy companies. One of them is Alex Mandel. He is Howie Mandel's son. He did the challenge and one of my favourite vlogs did the challenge and posted it today. They suggested it was a great Christmas present and very affordable. You can see their video here, it is freaking hilarious: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2X88U7kj47Q So I clicked on the link on their page which took me to Amazon.com where the game is priced at $14.99. Very affordable. So I checked on Amazon.ca and found the game to be almost $73!!!! PLUS $9 for shipping. Obviously that is not just the U.S. exchange rate causing a triple dollar amount. It would be cheaper for me to order it from Amazon.com rather than the Canadian site. What's the purpose of having a Canadian site again? So, I have money in U.S. dollars in my Paypal account so I could order from the U.S. and not have to worry about added dollars due to the exchange rate. I think this would be a very fun game... if our family has time together this Christmas to play it.

It does sound like a good game and fun to play over the holiday. The prices on Amazon.ca are ridiculous compared to Amazon.com. It doesn't even make sense.

@Happy2BeMe My daughter says it's because it is not available in Canada and that Amazon.ca orders it from the U.S. Which makes sense because if you order from Amazon.ca over $38 you get free shipping, but there is shipping added on to that astronomical amount.

@Happy2BeMe I suppose I could check ebay but would probably find that even on the Canadian site it would be in U.S. dollars. It's just not available up here yet.

@Dextoi These are my favourite YouTubers. They are so friendly, kind and inspirational. They treat all their fans as friends. They do a lot of live streams and I sit and chat with them and they chat back like I'm someone they've known a long time.

@Dextoi If you watch the video you will see they are open at one end so it fits to any size mouth. Also, this particular one is very durable and dishwasher safe.

Yikes at the Canada price! Yes, the United States price is affordable and sounds like many people will enjoy it. The exchange rate is quite something and would sure make me think twice before buying many things.

@Fishmomma I know. I will do it for one or two low priced items but really try and stick to Canadian sites and Canadian dollars.

@ricki_911 Check out the video link in the post. It's very hard to eat or talk with the mouth guard in.
