Quid Pro Quo - You Scratch My Back, I Scratch Yours?

See me busy as a bee trying to understand myLot and how to make money in the fastest possible time. My three day search led me to one word: Interaction. Everybody says so. That is the key.
So, I started visiting peoples’ discussion forum, read blogs, made intelligent comments (I hope), answered comments in my own discussion and tried to include five new person each day (my daily goal). Then I investigated the New Discussion, Hot discussion, Recent discussion and Interesting discussions and got into that as well.
Out of curiosity and sympathy I visited the No Response Discussions. I wanted to do a good deed. I was lucky to have had people noticed my blog, so why not make someone else happy, too? The first discussion had two words. TWO WORDS! What the hell? …I shunned that. I wanted to leave a one word answer…but I told myself…just walk away, girl. Don’t comment. Not worth it. The other discussions were average which was okay. Then there were some so vague like you were texting a message to someone. The tags were longer than the message! Seriously!
But here is what really ticked me off. I had left a comment in one’s person’s post with an invitation to visit mine anytime… thinking, poor dear, she probably didn’t know that she could get comments by visiting other people’s blogs and they’ll respond in kind. But, to my surprise, she wished me ‘Good Luck” instead.
I mean didn’t she understand she was EXPECTED to return the favor? Did she not understand that MY effort will help HER earn…shouldn’t she help ME earn? Quid Pro Quo. Something for something! You scratch my back, I scratch yours. You smile with me, I smile with you. You comment on my blog, I comment on yours. You start a thread, I start a thread. You read three blogs, I read three of your blogs. I mean this is mutual respect, honor bound or duty bound, or just plain common courtesy – the basic ingredient of interaction, right?
Was I wrong? Isn’t this how it works?

But do they understand that that is the premise this earning system is based on ? If we do not 'feel' obligated to return the favor...eventually no one will visit to comment, or to answer a comment...and you'll get a blog with no responses. Kinda defeat the purpose, right? The catch 22 syndrome..

@Gita17112016 Some people simply "don't get it"

When I see discussions consisting of TWO WORDS, I always report. This is against the rules and those people must go. It is true that when you visit someone the least you expect is that they come to visit you. Most of the time it is what happens. Some pretty rude users are very happy to reply to the comments left to their discussions, but never come to read your posts. When this happens, after a few tries to see if they improve, I skip their discussions too.

@Gita17112016 Exactly, there is no reason to support those who are selfish.

That's exactly what I am saying. If we don't have the awareness that we are hurting ourselves in the long run, then we are not understanding what 'interactive' means. Like yourself, I will keep trying for a few times, then not bother myself. It takes two hands to clap.

Youre not wrong. Maybe she misunderstood what you were saying? Im not sure. Everyone seems to go differently with different people. Some people seem very focused on only starting discussions whereas others seem to be reallly good about giving good responses. It always bugs me when people literally respond to my discussions with one word, "no". Like what was the point? Anyway Im sorry for your frustrations!

I can only hope she has misunderstood, or else it will be a case of giving nothing back. I think all interaction, as pleasant as the social element is, is about increasing earnings. Truthfully, when you visit your profile page and see you earnings take a leap, isn't there a small part of you heart jumps? And you try to figure out what you did the day before? Truthfully?

If no one answers a comment you leave don't worry about it, just keep interacting with others whether it's on a discussion you began or someone else's, either way it's the interaction. There are mylotters who never write their own discussions and they do quite well.
