I'm Back

I've had a busy day so far, and to relax after taking my oldest to get his stuff taken care of, including buying a new/used truck, I got all the groceries for Thanksgiving and made certain I had something to eat leading up to Thursday. I was impressed with the grocery bill for the meal - under $100. I also priced fishing rods for my oldest son's Christmas present. I was happy to see they don't cost a lot. Now if there are any fishermen on here, could you tell me the best brand to buy for a rod? I've never bought a rod before, but that is what he wants for Christmas along with a tackle box.
I also cleared out one more Olympics event on my DVR so that freed up 4 hours. I was up very early this morning and watched half then before going back to bed before getting the day started and finished watching it when I got home.
Now there is just under 5 hours before the game tonight. I'm wearing my Packers colors, but have little hope for a win, though it would be nice to see us get out of the losing slump we've been in the last four games due to all the injuries we've had. I can only hope we're playing with most of our players. I know Eddie Lacey is still out and not expected back as he just had ankle surgery a couple weeks ago. I'm hoping Clay Matthews is back. That will be a big help. It will also be helpful if Aaron Rodgers has some receivers to throw to that will actually catch the ball. So we'll see what the game looks like tonight.
I have just over a hundred notifications to get to and reading all your posts as well, so we'll see what I can accomplish in the next five hours.
One last question for all the turkey cooks - I bought a 12 pound bird - when do I take it out of the freezer and put it in the fridge, or should I do that now?
That's it for now. Thanks for reading.

I am working on yesterdays posts, so that's an improvement. My goal today is get all the posts caught up to whatever current is, and then start working on notifications, but I dont expect to get too far on those. Tomorrow I plan on tackling that beastie

Since it's already 11:30 PM I'll be quitting soon. I wasn't here as much as usual. I don't know what tomorrow will bring as it's the day before my Thanksgiving celebration. I need to get the house looking great. It's pretty clean, but running the vacuum and cleaning the bathroom and taking out the garbage will make things like new.

Sounds like you have been busy. Hope the Packers get back in sync soon. Take about a day of defrosting. Only do it in the fridge though. We had one twice that size and took it out two days prior.

Welcome back! Sounds as if you have been very busy. I always take the turkey out of the freezer around 2 days before and leave it in the fridge.
