We change duties at work on Wednesday. This round I am finishing represents students who are the most challenging for me. With the goal of being good to myself, I am going for a pedicure tomorrow. I believe that getting my nails properly shaped will help me walk better and thus protect my knees, too. I have never had a pedicure. I may expand it to having a manicure as well. We are getting a runaround on getting our truck checked out by insurance. That is frustrating. I am also going to set up a humidifier in our bedroom, for more breathing comfort. I think it will help me stay healthy. I hope each of you is being kind to yourself as well.

Different child, different challenge, but I am never bored with this one. Keeping my brain young. I enjoyed the pedicure.

@GardenGerty I am starting that sort of thing as a sub, BUT I dont wanna be incharge, not yet, so trying for the classroom assistant type spots first. I got told there are a few schools where because of handicaps the sub spot is NEVER the one in charge, so I am going to try and get my mandatory 2 days a week in there.

I've never gotten a pedicure, but I do my own quite often since I've had doctors tell me to take better care of my feet! I'm also planning on getting a humidifier this winter. I keep getting sore throats and I've been told it's probably all the dry air. I know I'm not sick and I don't have any allergies this time of year, so I'm sure that will help.

I used to take care of my own toe nails, but have not been successful at getting them shaped right to not become ingrown. I would agree that you will probably benefit from a humidifier. Some people put their laundry on hangers to dry to add moisture, or keep a kettle boiling on low while they are awake.

@GardenGerty My mother used to keep a kettle going on the stove. I won't do that because I know I'd forget about it. But I'll find a nice humidifier once I get out to do a little shopping. It will be interesting to see how my cat reacts to it! lol

Sometimes it is best to begin a major task at the beginning of the month.

Sometimes we're not terribly kind to ourselves are we? A bit of pampering will do you good I'm sure.

It is a habit I have not had for a long long time. I believe it has health benefits as well.

For me it was a very good thing. It is also less expensive than going to a podiatrist to see if I can get my nails trimmed, and I had a nice cup of coffee and my nails painted as well. I can tell I walk better, more comfortably. Plus I made a new friend.
