Have you set your totally arbitrary November financial goal for MyLot?

I like to play numbers games. When there are about three days left in a month on MyLot, I like to set a goal, like: "I'm going to make $13 on MyLot this month." It's totally arbitrary. It just gives me something to shot for. For this month, my goal was set at $XX.XX three days ago. I'm only a few cents away from that goal, so I think I'm going to make it. Do you do the same? Or do you just post and comment and "let it ride"?

well I was lucky to reach the $5 mark a few days ago - I would love to get to 10 - but not this month.

@TheHorse I must admit that for 6 months I got to the $10 condition mark, but the last 3 months I have been so busy and it shows because I dont get time to chat back to responses like I am doing now. Anyway I was busy with work that pays, so there is no real loss.

@Inlemay Yeah, today I could joke that I made $80.50 extra with the help of MyLot. I got called in to work at my friend's preschool. We went to a museum on the UC Berkeley Campus. I got to hold two favorite kids' hands, ride the bus, look at dinosaurs, tell a story (The Man Who Couldn't Sleep) at lunch, and get paid for it.

I hit $5 several days ago too. But my "first" arbitrary goal is to make $10, since that's how we were "conditioned" a few months ago. I am man. I am machine.

I post very little, I comment a lot and let it ride, hoping to reach my usual amount. This month I posted even less and I made more.

@TheHorse Many days I feel that everything I am ready to write is garbage, so I go around, I read and I comment. This way at least I have fun.

I think that is a good strategy. It's fun to be involved in a few conversations, even if you didn't start most of those conversations.

You will surely get your goal when you wake up! I didn't make any goal and exceeded more than I would ever thought

Not me. This was a quiet month. But I don't think I lost any friends.

I am more apt to do the latter, but there has been times when I've set a goal for myself. It's been quite awhile since I've really been active here. The past couple of days I've made an effort to be here more, but that's more to do with the fact that this week I've hardly had any hours at work. In fact, I haven't worked since Saturday. My next work day (for this week) is Sunday!

I'm definitely a 'let it ride' kind of guy. Although I'm interested to see how much I'll get this month considering the nosedive the pound has taken against the dollar. Should work to the advantage of all us Brits on myLot.

I usually want to make fifty cents a day but don't stress it if I don't. This month I went over that, and I will make close to $21 for the month. =) I am very happy! I hope you reached your goal!

All I ever wanted this month was to end it with at least half way to minimum payout... And I got that while I was asleep last night! Now I'm at 2.5705

Well I started a few months ago - I have a full time job therefore only get on to the site now and then. I tried last month to get to the minimum of $5 but fell short - I am currently ,06cenets away from my first ever MYLOT $5 and I am going to get so excited when that bank rolls over sometime today - I am watching it as we speak. $10 - well that will be my holiday challenge

Hopefully you'll make it in December. But the money is not why most of us are here. It's just a nice little "perk," or however it's spelled.

You can't make much money here, but if you get involved in good conversations, a little spending money will also result. It doesn't matter if those conversations are on your posts or others'.

Yes, I did that this time. It is usually just to make payout, but I set it for 10 this time as I knew it was manageable, so I met and exceeded it.

Well, due to many reasons, I have again became inactive here, so first I will have to get active and then set goals. However, I do favor the Goal-setting idea.

Not really...I don't set targets...then I have to ignore other things...in general I am good if I reach payout...and slightly more...usually I touch 8 dollars or so. Hope you reached your target though...

Oh that's a fun game. I usually (try) to ignore the bank... telling myself I will enjoy no matter what it is (which I will) but maybe I will set a low number and that way impress myself with how well I'm doing lol

That sounds like fun. I play games with myself all the time. Like count to 60 and see how close I can be to exactly one minute.
