Severe Snoring

Have you ever had a family pet shove his paw into your mouth because you were disturbing their sleep due to snoring? I have. Apparently last night, I sounded like a train going through a tunnel and since snoring can cause a lot of medical issues; like stroke, death, heart disease and you stop breathing, he figured he was helping me out. Your airways can close completely due to an obstruction of the free flow of air through the nose and throat; which can lower the amounts of oxygen to the heart, not to mention the brain. 45% of normal adults occasionally snore and 25% are habitual snorers. It is best to seek advice from an Otolaryngologist to find the cause; particularly if it is children who snore strongly. In my case it was because my nose has been repeatedly broken through abuse. I guess I could get a CPAP machine to help me breathe, but with kitty-kitty on guard, I may not need one.
Insight into sleeping disorders and sleep apneaForty-five percent of normal adults snore at least occasionally and 25 percent are habitual snorers.

That is very true, especially if they are a short-nosed dog @Marilynda1225 .

My wife had a sleep study recently and it showed that despite her freight train snoring, she does not have sleep apnea.I move to another bed just about every night. But I snore too and should have a sleep study as well.

Now see, if only you two could time the snorts, you could have harmony @JamesHxstatic .

This is funny, poor kitty she does not like your snoring. I know that I snore time by time when I have a cold.

My sister uses a CPAP and I am grateful when we camp. She used to sound like lumber jack.... I am a mouth breather and often wake up with a dry mouth but as far as I know I don't snore often.. My husband often wakes me up because I am active when dreaming but no snores...
