I Love my Sudoku Addiction

In a recent post @silvermist wrote about things people do to reduce stress or take their minds off their worries. MyLot definitely seems to be a popular way of achieving this.
I agree with that, but I have another way of escaping. I'm a bit of a Sudoku addict. Every night I start by telling myself I'll do only one puzzle tonight. You've guessed it. Every night I'm still there solving puzzles an hour or so later.
Just wondering, are there any other Sudoku addicts out there?

I am far more likely to work with word puzzles than with numbers, since I never did like math.

Not Sudoku but I do some crossword puzzles. My sister is into it and says once you get the hang it is smooth as silk.

@valmnz I think it comes with practice. I have not started attempting them but must. No patience to sit with them

I am not good at those, but I do like the number crosswords (I know you just fill in numbers, not get clues to fill in words, so it's easier) but it is soothing. The other thing I do is read old favorite books

My mother used to love doing Sudoku puzzles. I used to be afraid that they would too hard for me. I'm not good at math. But I love doing them too. But I hardly do them anymore.

I understand that solving puzzles like Sudoku or cross word puzzles are the best bet to de-stress ourselves and to make our mind sharper. However, I do not indulge in Sudoku.

Years ago I used to be a Sudoku addict. Like you, I would spend hours doing them. But after having kids, I found that I didn't quite have any time for the puzzles anymore!

@valmnz Yeah, my kids are old enough now that I can probably start doing Sudoku puzzles again, if I could find the time. I'm sure my daughter would enjoy doing them with me!

I usually release my stress by playing Fruit Ninja. Or Chess! I love these games!

@annastasiaaaaaa ah. For some reason because you had a capital letter and it followed the other, I didn't even recognise chess! Stupid of me. Of course I know chess.

@valmnz No. You can play them even without internet and chess is an indoor sport.

I used to work Sudoku puzzles, but I took a break from them. Now, I want to get started on them again.
