Went to food pantry

So the other day my cousins little brother came over so I could use his help going to the food pantry and carrying food home. My other cousin watched my son. Well, I needed to go because we were running low on food so I took my cousin to get food. Glad I can use his help now. I am allowed to go to the food pantry every other week which is good. It used to be once per month. I even got a turkey today and a bunch of other good stuff. At the food pantry you can pick out your food. I like that food pantry. Do you go to the food pantry?

What a helpful cousin! My cousins are not really helpful lol so I envy those people close to their cousins.

@carebear29 My roommate gets 16.00 a month, too. We all share our food so she is doing okay. Not sure what she will do when she leaves us.

My room mate is low income so she could go to the food bank. I'm not sure that there would be food there that is on our list, though. Our food bank is not very ritzy and a lot of the food is not so great, like mac and cheese and frozen potato products.

@carebear29 I just worry about the children who are filled with 'stuff' but not getting nutrition to grow on, physically and mentally.

Wish we had that here. We don't have anything and the food bank is useless unless you have kids then they favour you to the max. I have gone to the local churches but its very slim picking. I use coupons alot and get loads of samples.
