Do you ever look at the "interesting discussions" page?

I have been looking at it occasionally for days and it never changes! I wonder why? I've seen a lot of interesting discussions that aren't on the page so I wonder what qualifies a discussion to make it to that page. I don't think we had that category when I was here years ago. Likewise, the top-rated discussions, I don't think we had that either. At least that page changes content frequently. Have any of your discussion made it to the "interesting" page? Can anyone tell me why it doesn't seem to change?

Interesting discussion page relates directly to the tags you use on discussions/responses/comments. Also I believe it MAY relate to the tags on discussions you respond to but am not absolutely sure about that. so basically the interesting discussion page is tag related...if you change your tags you'll see the discussions on the interesting page change too...if it's working properly

Thanks, Mike!! I changed the tag on the discussion of mine that was on there and it's no longer there. Don't know where it went but that was an interesting thing to learn!

@dragon54u I know the interesting page is tag related but don't know exactly how it is supposed to work...I think it tries to connect you to discussions you may find interesting as it relates to tags. @jolietjake may be able to explain a lot better than me

@dragon54u I know that tags are supposed to direct traffic to and fro and be an integral part of the info...so how did you change it? You can't put random things, can you?

I have been looking too. I had one or two of my discussion on the 'interesting' page. I think it got there because of the amount of comments recorded and the frequency of the traffic on my page. Otherwise I don't see the criterion.

Mike, up above, told me that if you change the tags on that discussion it will move somewhere else. So I did and my post is off the page. I don't know where it went but it's no longer there.

I do, too, but the interesting discussions never seems to add any or take any away!

Every once in awhile. I don't get the purpose. Who determines if a post is interesting? I have some of my posts there and they aren't particularly unique.

One of mine is there and I can't help but think it will get no more responses since it's on that page!

@dragon54u Doesn't seem like having a discussion there will necessarily get lots more activity.

@dragon54u That is what I thought. I guess the intent is too highlight posts in order to provide a boost but it doesn't seem to happen.

Hi, If you get time try to visit Owlwing's page. He almost explained everything. Blog says - ' "Interesting" is "populated with posts based upon the tags you've used on myLot" (thanks to a Private Message from "myLot_ContactUs" for that!). If you are a new user or have not tagged your posts, the results are likely to be unpredictable. If you do not use tags in a sensible and responsible manner, then you are probably not getting the best out of MyLot. ' Link just for your reference -
A Quick Users Guide to MyLot. How and why you should use MyLot.

Thank you! I have probably forgotten a lot of how to use myLot. I was here years ago then they closed. I just rediscovered them. I'll read that user's guide, thanks!

I think it is for stuff they don't know what to do with. I think they just put it there.

I think they are defeating the purpose of the page since it doesn't seem to change. And many of the discussions there are not interesting!

I stopped looking at the interesting discussions. They don't change much. It is all I can do to keep up with notifications and find new discussions to comment on.

I think it has to do with the tags you use for the discussions. I see many of my discussions in that list. But don't know if others see them when they go to that list themselves.

I also look forward to them. I don't the idea behind which discussion to be put for the interesting ones.
