Christmas Is Not The Way It Used To Be!!

How many people do you have to buy for?? We used to have tons, but people move away, become part of new families and the numbers are constantly changing. This year I think that it's the lowest yet. But happily we all are online and it's almost as good as everyone being together. I only say this because everyone gets to sleep in their own bed. Other than that, I would still love it if we could have one big massive Christmas the way it used to be!!
Is this going to be a big Christmas for you or a small one?

Yes, Christmas is what you make it each year. Ours didn't turn out as planned, but it will be perfect anyway.!

@Hate2Iron The happiness of Christmas depends on us.
It is us who makes it wonderful and memorable...

That sounds pretty close to perfect to me. I have a feeling that yours might be a little warmer than ours!!

@Hate2Iron As it's Melbourne we need to be prepared for anything - but it should certainly be warm.

That is a lot of shopping!! I hope that you have a nice list to refer to! That will definitely make it easier. I'm already thinking about my list for next year. I just top up the list from the previous list so there are lots and lots of ideas to choose from! Hope that this helps a little. I thought that I had a lot to buy for. You have me beat!!

@Hate2Iron I think the adult grand kids are getting money. Too expensive to mail anything else

Well our Christmases became pretty small after my great grandma passed away, now it is just my mom, grandma, and I. It has been that way for over 10 years and yeah! I love big gatherings but it is also nice just having it small, no arguing and just having a good time.

It sounds like a wonderful Christmas at your house and each year I'm sure that your Great Grandmother is looking down on you. So with all of those relatives in heaven looking down on Christmas day, it might be bigger than you expected! :)

@Hate2Iron Too bad the relatives that have passed were all nice and not bigots, where as the ones that are still alive and kicking...Oof they do not like my mom and I and that is why we cannot go to family gatherings haha

I buy for two sisters and two brother in laws, a niece and her husband and my great niece. Then I buy for my daughter and her boyfriend and his two daughters and my grand daughter and my son, daughter in law and grandson and then of course my fiance and my two cats. So I have quite a bit of gifts to buy considering I haven't really bought much yet. We will have a small family get together with my family.

That sounds just like what my Wednesday is going to be like... I have a lot of gifts to find! Should be a fun day and Christmas week will be quiet and full of chocolate. ;)

I only buy two Christmas gifts. One for my best-friend and the other for my fiance. We go to my great-aunt's house for Christmas Eve and we usually have a huge crowd.

Probably just my husband, one adult son and myself. My son's ex-partner might join us. But it will be enjoyable and we're looking forward to it.
