One more quarter of potential jury duty

My husband was waiting for the letter from the county regarding jury duty. It arrived. We have to start calling tonight to find out if he has to report.
Since you are on call for a year in this silly county, this will be the 4th quarter (first quarter of 2017) and the final one. Since he was already on a case we hope that he won't be called for another one.
Next time we move to a different county I'll check what their jury duty regulations are!

I have to admit, that is one of the odder ways of doing things I have ever heard of

Yes, it is strange and this is our 4th county in TN and the only one that works this way.

@AbbyGreenhill I hope so too! That's a lot of jury duty to be on call for.

It is so funny...I want to be on a jury so badly, but I have only been summoned one time for jury duty in the entire 22 years I have lived in my city. And when I was summoned, I wasn't even picked out of the group to continue on to the next round of selection! I was so disappointed!

I think being 'called anytime' for a year is a little much and if you served on a jury once in that time-frame you should not have to do it again. We lived in the last county 5 years, my husband was called one time for orientation and that was it. We called yesterday and the message says to call again today.

Although our states and territories have lots of different laws, at least there is only x number of them (temporary memory loss) Six plus one I think!

It has been awhile since I was last called. I am fine with that. I hope I am not speaking too soon!
