Horrific Attack on a Christmas Market - Germany

It seems that The Christian Holidays most certainly make some people feel uncomfortable and this is clearly noted after yesterdays attack by a "man" identified as someone from Afganistan or Pakistan who drove a TRUCK into a Christmas Market in Berlin.
Killing 12 people and injuring many others - THAT is SAD!
But "DO NOT BE AFRAID, for I am here" says the Lord and while the religions of the world fight over who is the almighty, suffering will never be at its end.
Prayers go out to the victim's families and to the people who trespass - may God forgive them their trespasses!
Good Morning to everyone - Wishing you all the best day ahead.
This is Lany on the Spot, for no other joyous photo would be fitting for this NEWS.

Thank God for God. I guess we never fully understand why the bad things happen, but it is people, not God who do things like this. My prayers also for the people these senseless things are happening to in Germany. This is another country that needs our prayers just now as it is becoming quite unsafe.

It's beginning to look as though this was a 'copycat' attack of the terrible one in July in Nice. No doubt, more information will emerge about the Afghan man who, apparently, hijacked the lorry, killed the driver and deliberately drove it into the market.
It is the fear of the unknown, the irrational and the unexpected which we should guard against. Nobody in their right mind would walk into a cage of hungry lions: it is rational to use fear in that sort of situation to keep ourselves safe. Of course, terrorism plays on the irrational fear that something MIGHT happen. Even though, by the same token, we ought to be 'afraid' every time we walk on the street or drive on the highway, most of us are not (though we do usually take sensible precautions, such as not stepping out in front of a bus and keeping a safe distance from other road users when driving).

You are so right in your responding statement. I dont believe we should ever stop living our lives in fear of what others can do to us. And while terror is the only way these people THINK they are getting ahead. We will face them at every challenge.

@Inlemay It's sad indeed, Lany, and to think - it's Christmas time. The world never runs out of evil men.

@Inlemay And just like weeds that spread faster than useful plants, so does evil men.

The world is not safe. We all want a peaceful and merry Christmas. Some people have the time to ruin Christmas
