Got the part of Chef Louis

Our high school is doing The Little Mermaid in March. They held auditions last week and tonight the cast list was announced. My 9th grade son got the part of Chef Louis. Older students, 11th and 12th graders, got the bigger roles. I don't think that's a bad role for a 9th grader.. I'm pretty sure he's the youngest student with a speaking role (although a middle school student was selected to play Flounder). And he'll have a solo song and dance.. Les Poissons! I did have my hopes up that he'd get a big role.. but his time will come, he's still young! I'm excited and can't wait to see the show!

As you say his turn will come - and great that he has a solo song and dance. It's all a great learning experience.
