Less than two hours until Winter...

...so I hope yer ready. And if it seemed like a long night, it was...the longest one of the year, actually, with the Winter Solstice due to occur at 4:44 AM CST (or whatever time that converts to in your time zone). *sips coughee* Sad. It hasn't even officially started yet, and I am already sick of it. I guess this is the myLot version of Morning Coughee Moment...didn't really plan the discussion, just hopped on here and started typing. Which is how I do my morning videos...make a cup of coughee and then spend a couple minutes trying to figure out what it is I am actually trying to say. And I am pretty sure this morning it is 'Screw Winter'. *raises coughee cup* G'mornin' myLot...

Ours is at 18:44.Here there are the eight-one days beginning from the Winter Solstice,with every nine days as a unit,counting from the first nine days to the ninth nine days by which the farmers know what farm work they will do.The third nine days is considered as the coldest days.

@JolietJake yep but you would mind the heat when it gets hot especially at the peak of summer, more so now because of global warming, everything you touch is hot even glass top tables when the place is not aircon, so what is natural to you is a relief to us. Another thing, most Filipinos have genes that came from a colder country perhaps its another reason but not so sure.

I was looking at your average temps once, and I probably wouldn't mind them as much, here it gets downright cold sometimes.

It was 11:44 AM in my time zone, winter is here and today a warm wind is blowing and the temperature is up and it looks like spring. I think that someone somewhere is a bit confused.

@JolietJake That is considered poor. I know people hate when I tell them this. People with money has thermostats that work and saves them money. Push a button and that stuff does it for you. We have to do silly things like start our house on fire to stay warm and then have a bucket full of ice. lol Murica

What I hate most about winter is having to run the air conditioner AND the heater because the heater makes it too hot so I have to run the A/C but it's too cold without the heater running. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it...

It is the shortest night of the year here. I think it is tonight not last night according to the Daily Fail?
@JolietJake (50190)
21 Dec 16
Um...the shortest night occurs in summer. And I am speaking of presently...since the solstice occurs at 4:44 AM and it is currently 3 AM, that would make this night currently happening the longest.

I lit some incense and said thanks to the sun this AM, but I'm not overly enthusiastic about much of anything today.

Funny, that's how I feel about winter. The last few days have been soooo windy. In morning light we will need to see if any trees came down.

Sadly we humans are never happy, when it's cold we want warm, when it's warm we want cold. I currently want warm lol.

In Lunar calendar, the 21st is also the day that winter is officially here. That day is called Dong Zhi, which translates into coldest
