First Revisions of New Book are Done

In between wrapping gifts and staying out of the kitchen while my missus bakes, I have been making revisions to the manuscript of my new book based on notes from my primary proofreader, my missus. The actual typos were, thankfully, few. The big change was in the plot line. I won't go into detail, but it called for an extensive rewrite of the first half of the book. The revised version is now in the hands of my secondary proofreader, my oldest son. I'm interested to see what comments he has. I've included one of the potential cover ideas for the new book. I'd love some feedback.

More a coming of age story, with romance, secrets, estranged family being reunited, learning the difference between loving someone and being in love with someone.

I hope you get it all rewritten and it is published. I love to hear that someone is writing a book.

When it is published, this will be my sixth, and thus far longest, novel.

Are they ever. Both my sons are proofreading it while they're home. Son2 is editor of the University Honors Program Newsletter. He pulls no punches.

I love the cover. I've had to do that kind of revision with my first book. Not fun. I'm glad you got through it and it's now in the hands of your second proofreader.

Once my proofreaders have had at it, my editor will get ahold of it. After that, I will finally be ready for formatting and publishing. I hope to have it out in time for summer reading.

Thank you. My missus helped me pick out this picture for the cover. It captures the feeling of the book in an interesting way.

@DWDavis I think it is a cover that will draw readers in. Your 'missus' has good taste - in my opinion at least!

Thank you. I am hoping it conveys both a parting and a meeting at the same time.
