I have certain movie watching tradotions during the holidays. In those whee dark hours of the morning when everyone else is asleep and I am awake and wanting something to watch. The days leading up to Christmas are spent watching Lifetime, AMC, TCM, Movie channel movies for the holidays. I have seen dozens. Then I have to watch "The Bishop's Wife" on Christmas Eve and "Holidiay Inn" on New Year's Eve. But I couldn't find the latter.
But, after looking at the schedules for all of these channels I couldn't find "Holiday Inn". My last place to check was Netflix. (They have been adding some vintage movies to their listings the last few years). So, I am happy to say that they do have this movie. I have just sent back "Hello, My Name is Doris" which was rather cute. So it will work out well. Should get it just in time to watch it for New Years Eve.
I do love it when things work out, don't you?

I was looking for an obscure movie(and I do mean obscure) years back and Netflix had it. I've been a fan every since.

aahhh it's been a long time since I was on the netflix program to get movies in the mail.
We have on the Hallmark channel's holiday movie marathon even though my husband is being complainy about it because he wants to watch Ben Hur instead.

i wish they had more on streaming. a lot of what i want is on disc. and i don't want to be stuck with having another hundreth thing to worry about if i have to move right away. i just posted a cute one i watched on streaming netflix

@bunnybon7 .........I have both the streamin' and regular subscription on Netflix where they send the movies home to me. Seems to be more to choose from on the latter.

@celticeagle streaming is when you don't have a disc. it is right from netflix without having to send something back. just what you watch from the app. or whatever you use.

I'm glad you were able to find Holiday Inn. I've been watching for my favorite movie, but it wasn't available this year and I've only seen it twice since the first time I chanced on it. I wish TMC would play Christmas movies more than they did. The stuff they put on Hallmark is almost not worth it. There were a few good Christmas offerings, but not many. I'll be watching some favorites I bought so I wouldn't miss them. I've never seen The Bishop's Wife, but I've seen it often in the listings.

@celticeagle I was going to watch that one on Hallmark. Too late now. I saw the original animated Grinch in the lineup, but I have the DVD so didn't watch it on TV. There's a couple I want to watch yet tonight before I go to bed.
