I read on a forum site that this paper shredder originally $50 was on clearance for $4.
I had to go to Staples anyway, so while I was there I went to look for this shredder. I had no luck in finding this one but found the newer model which wasn't for sale. I asked the sales associate if he can locate it! He did & I bought 2! One for my parents' (although they already have one) and one for my boyfriends' place.
Today, my boyfriend & I did major cleaning. I shredded a bunch of documents, scam mails and boy do they send those fake checks with your name saying their ready to use - so the shredder came in handy!
Do you shred Mail? Documents? Cards? The shredder can shred up to 12 pages at a time. No need for cutting the documents up by hand now, yay!

@Madshadi Yes my parents find shredders useful too! And now a days I don't know about your area but they like to mail these fake but real checks. If you use then you're agreeing that you will use the loan or whatever so that's pretty dangerous so we shred those especially!

@infatuatedbby I like it and luckily in my new place I have plenty of extra space to put that. I think it is worth the price

SO you paid $8.00 for what would have normally be $100? WOW that is amazing. I hope the shredder last for years.

@ScribbledAdNauseum
Oh I see.
The discount is because they have a newer one. This one shreds up to 12 sheets where, the new one shreds up to 14 sheets. I believe the model is being discontinued in stores.
I thought original price was $50, but I just checked on Staples website and it's still going for $79.99
That's crazy!
That's crazy!
Buy Omnitech 12-Sheet Cross-Cut Shredder at Staples’ low price, or read customer reviews to learn more.

@infatuatedbby We had one but hardly ever used it anyway. I'd be wary of such a deep discount.

I shred like crazy - mine came from staples years ago. I also recently bought little stamp type deals that you roll over the information on envelopes/letters/whatever - It saves shredding and still makes your personal info gone!

@infatuatedbby I got them from qvc. They even work on the shinny paper. Less to put thru the shredder

@Gita17112016 No, they're from banks I am not even members of, and some with my boyfriend - we receive mail where they want you to join banks (and sometimes even provide checks). Even at my parents' everyone I know here gets so many junk mail

I'm not too entirely sure I don't think it cross cuts just straight across. My parents old one criss crosses but I don't think anyone would have time digging into shredded paper to put the puzzles back together
