A Bum with No Job

Earlier, about an hour and a half ago, I was standing at the crosswalk in front of our house, waiting for the traffic to clear, so I could cross the street.
A white SUV drove past. In the passenger side was a kid that looked to be a 12 years or so old.
The kid stuck his head out of the window and yelled "Bum! Get a@ $!#&¥?! job!"
Number one, this kid obviously learned from someone, most likely his parents, to think like this. Number two, what kind of parents allow their 12 year old son to curse like that (I'm assuming that the lady driving was his mom.)
Apparently, I'm a bum with no job. So I've got that going for me!

I assume you weren't pushing a shopping cart. The kid has no clue about the world.

@teamfreak16 Reusable shopping bags are the norm now! Everyone has to in California. Just a stupid smart mouth kid popping off like the brainless twit young people generally are.

@JohnRoberts - Like I've said before, just one more reason I can't stand kids.

Well, I was pushing a shopping cart! Seriously, I did have a reusable shopping bag, as I was headed downtown to get a couple things.

Wow, where did this come from? You could be a tourist on vacation?!
Then it would be really illegal for you to "get a job"

@teamfreak16 ya thats why assumptions really equates to ignorance. And ignorance can get one into more trouble than needed.
TBH if this kid is in the wrong part of London, his mouthyness prolly will get him a bit more than just a few retorts

We're a tourist town, and surprisingly, there are still a lot of tourists here, considering it's winter. So that could be entirely plausible.

@Drosophila - That's why people yell from moving cars. You can't catch them. Very cowardly.

I kind of get amused when kids talk like adults.

How rude!
Why doesn't HE GET A JOB. (though he is just 12) Obviously he doesn't have any manners or knowledge. And just because you're crossing the street doesn't mean you're a bum.

He needs someone to put him through a wall. I can only imagine what he yells at women and minorities.

@infatuatedbby - I'm guessing it's too late for that. Great parenting.

I wouldn't say I was appalled, rather, I was kind of surprised.

@teamfreak16 You're right. That kid totally learned that from his parents. A-holes.

But how on earth would he know that? You could be a millionaire on his day off. And that's no excuse anyway. No wonder the world is a mess when parents allow this sort of behaviour.
