An anything but peaceful new year

I am not a pessimist by nature but I do have this bad feeling about world affairs in 2017. I sure hope I am wrong and everything will be peaceful; that nations will learn to get along and stop the foolish wars. I also have an uneasy feeling about domestic affairs in some countries. Will we see more riots, demonstrations and senseless violence in the streets? We see what has been happening with the violence in shopping malls for no good reason. What next? How do you feel about the new year?

I had the same feeling and it doesn't look good. There's a big problem with mankind and no human can straighten things out.

Accept what you can't change.
Work on what you can if that is what you feel driven to do. But, first of all, take care of yourself and family.

I'm looking forward to the New Year but when it comes to world affairs I'm apprehensive. Wouldn't it be nice if peace could rein for once

Dear...I believe that thevery air on the planet, this water, this earth, the countrise, these governments ext are all we've got....It's all we have on this planet with no other option.The idea is to make the most out of what we have got....Enjoy currently what we have.... as you rightly said that things are a little uneasy currently but until then let's make sure we make the most out of what we have got and ensure that we do our little bit in improving the situation....

Everything seems to be going downhill at the moment. We hope to go to Ireland next year and do some travelling on the continent but it is very tempting just to stay in our quiet little corner of the world.
