Final Swim, Final Weigh-in of Year

Swimming this morning was a cold affair. The water has been cool all week and I was hoping for a bit warmer this morning, however, instead of warmer, it was colder. It was very hard to stay in the hour I normally do, but I did and I didn't turn into a blue Smurfette doing so. Even moving around as much as it was necessary to do, didn't help matters. However, the whirlpool was thankfully nice and warm.
When I got out of the pool, I also did my final weigh-in of the year. I'm happy to say, I'm down two pounds for a total loss this year of 7 pounds after gaining back so much from not being in the pool for a month. So that is where I will start with my weight loss goals for next year.
I was also happy to see snow on the ground when I left for the pool this morning, and it's snowing at the moment as well. It just started up again, so I'm a happy camper.
So things are ending on a good note for this year, which makes me feel good for next year.
I also want to wish all my friends down under - New Zealand and Australia a very Happy New Year since you are already into 2017, while we count down the remaining hours of this year.
Have you reached your goals for 2016? Thanks for reading?

I didnt really have goals for 2016, but I still weigh under 180, so that's good, that was some serious loss since last year

@Jessicalynnt On most days, yes. There are times when the loneliness is overwhelming. I'm very glad I decided to do my son's laundry so I get to see him every week. Even if it is for only a few minutes.

I didn't really set any goals in 2016 but I plan to do so for 2017. I think it is important to have something to works towards to motivate you. Glad you are back on track with the weight loss. Good job. Happy New Year to you.

@celticeagle My weight loss goal is cut into 12 months and again into 4 weeks. My plan is to lose 2 pounds per week. I was doing very well on that goal until I couldn't swim for a month and gained back most of what I lost. Now I'm starting over again with the same goals in mind.

Congratulations on your weight loss! It's a hard row to hoe, I know it. Swimming is good exercise, I miss living close to a pool.

I hoped it would snow more than it did. The forecast changed yet again and the storm they said was coming went north of us.
Not a happy camper on that one. Oh well, still plenty of winter ahead. Watching it through the window is always fun.

I am not really much of a fan of indoor pools, but I love to swim outside. Congrats on your weight loss!

I don't care where I swim, as long as I swim, but this time of year is impossible to swim outdoors, unless you are a polar bear. Tomorrow there will be the Polar Plunge for those game enough to do it. They raise money for a good cause. It's an in and out thing. I heard them talking about it at the pool this morning.
