my neighbors,as usual shot off their stash of fireworks last night..and probably woke up anyone trying to sleep.i'm kind of surprised they do it at all with 9 kids in that house..i hope they enjoyed the baby screaming for the next hour..
but every year,it seems they overbuy in july,so they have a goodly amount leftover to be annoying on new year's.i wouldn't mind so much,but if you let off the loud "bangers" near midnight,you're a jerk,IMO.not to mention i think they're illegal in town anyway.
i'm not sure if his clock was off or what-but they did theirs at 11:30..which meant he had nothing left at 12.kinda defeated the whole purpose.DERP.

Thats what it was like here as well. I have these idiot neighbors who got one of those illegal fireworks cannons from Mexico and every year they blast the neighborhood with there really loud booming crap. If there are any verterans around here suffering from ptsd my heart goes out to them, they must have been as terrified as my kitties.
The worst part is they didn't run out of that crap, they kept it going til at least 2am.
Looks like I'll get to bed early tonight .... but with my luck they'll start the booming again around 7pm tonite.

I hope tonite will be the last of it @scarlet_woman either that or we get an unusual thunderstorm that'll strike that stupid cannon and scare the bageezaas outta them for a change.

Fireworks are not legal around here either but someone was hell bent on letting them off right where any dogs could be all except mine that is no longer afraid of them like he was before.
These also let their Fireworks off way after 12.00 midnight.

they used to be fully illegal-but they made some legal a few years ago..
but they're still getting the banned ones somehow.

Same here. I'm in Phoenix and the damned things started around 7PM and continued till at least 2 AM when I was finally able to fall asleep. My poor dogs were terrified. It wasn't so bad for Cookie, the 18 year old, because she's lost most of her hearing but the younger one was frantic and I had to give her some generic Benedryl to calm her down. Walmart sells small fireworks for Independence Day and NYE. They should all be against the law here where the least little spark can burn thousands of acres of land or a whole block of houses or businesses. People would sneak them in, anyway, though, because you just can't fix stupid.
