Third Best Sunset, Yachats, Oregon / myLot

Several years back, on a Thanksgiving Day, Anne and I went to our favorite coastal town in Oregon called Yachats (ya-hots). We took a number of photos there as always, including one of what a local pro photographer called the "third best sunset" he had ever seen. Now, there is an art show/contest sponsored by a fiber artists' group in Yachats called "Gems of the Ocean." Anne has been working very hard getting three of her art quilt creations together. She spent yesterday afternoon making photos of her final effort. Photos are submitted to the artists' group to see if the quilt will be accepted. This photo, being so small, does not do the 32 by 20 inch art work justice, but it is my favorite. I love the people gesturing in the lower left corner.

I like sunset photos. I like sunrise too. The first time I saw on a ship, I got so excited that a series was shot to show the complete process.

I must give Anne a big hand! It is really an imaginative art quilt creation in which there are both breathtaking landscape of sunset and people in silhouette who are cheering,they harmonise with each other.
