What are you having for lunch?

The food we eat depends a lot on the season we are in. As I am in summer, I don´t like do prepare a soup of any kind, except for a cold soup such as the Spanish gazpacho.
Today I will chech on what I have in my refrigerator. I will do something different with some leftovers from the holidays.

I am also doing a leftover but it is a soup, of course it is just a little cooler here than where you are although not as cold as some folks have it in the upper parts of the USA.
Mine is a simple soup made with chicken bone broth, pasta and salsa .... gotta have my hot salsa for flavor.

I ate yesterday for the first time in my life a peruvian dish called "causa". It is a sort of cold cake made with mashed potatoes and filled with tuna, onions, avocado and, of course a hot paste. It was delicious. Check it online.

@rebelann THe causa I ate at New Year was cold. But I suppose it can be made hot too.

I looked it up @marguicha it reminds me of a leftover dish one of my moms friends would make. She'd put layers of things like leftover mashed potatoes, chicken and vegetables then top it with cheese and bake it. I tried that with the stuff I used to make and it always came out good.

I don´t have anything on mind. I will just go out and find me something to eat. Maybe some fruit and whatever appeals to my appetite

I am having leftover hamburger, mash potatoes, biscuits, and cheese casserole from the other night. I added more cheese to it this morning and some bbq sauce.
