Should notifications be categorised?

I remebereme when I had that issue with bubblews. I would wake up every morning to see more notifications that I can handle.
But then the admins came out with a brilliant idea to put notifications into categories based on their type. So there were separate notificationshower for liking, commenting and something else I forgot.
Now I see more and more daily posts about mylot notifications. I believe if they were put into categories it would be easier to read them and interact with the right ones.
Watch are your thoughts?

I eliminated being notified of likes to reduce notifications

@Madshadi I can see once I return back to the discussion , like now you commented on my response to you. I did like it and just changed last month since I got an overwhelming of notifications.

@infatuatedbby yeah I understand why you don't want to see the likes. Approximately how many notifications do you get now when you first open mylot.

But they are categorized, and you can adjust which you receive and which you don't get

myLot is an enormous discussion board, blogging community, questions and answers hub, social network and online hangout that pays you for your valuable contributions

Thanks for taking the time to post the link. That was helpful but not what I had in mind. I meant if we can receive all the notifications, just in different tabs. So if I want to check out who liked my post, I would go to that category. That's what bubblews had. But this is still good.

Just have to adjust your settings to what you would like to receive notifications about and what you don't want to see!

That would be a nice idea. Hopefully, mylot admins could consider the idea of categorizing notifications.

@Madshadi , Yeah. It's nice to hear from others if what is their opinion about it.

I like them as they are. I have chosen which ones to receive and, as they come in the order in which they occurred, I know who is on when I am. For instance, when I get here in the morning I can choose to start with the most recent ones as I know those peoplw will be here to interact immediately and then get to the others that arrived earlier. The fact that they are not in categories is not a problem at all.

I never feel flooded by notifications on here although I opted to receive everything I can possibly get notified for. I check regularly and even in the morning I only get in the average of 20-30 notifications which I could easily go through in a very short time...

It could possibly be, but I just x out the likes and that makes things much more manageable

@fishtiger58 yes someone pointed it out to me today. I never scrolled down to check if my old notifications are still there

@Madshadi you do know if you don't x them out they won't vanish for 7 days. That's how mylot does it. Your notifications stay for 7 days then get deleted.
