I am a "Wren and Martin" person and yet.........

My grammar is good as we strictly followed the Wren and Martin text book. Having said that I occasionally get stuck with the prepositions - 'to' and 'for' But thank God for little mercies myLot does not mind. Nevertheless, there are places where these things matter.
What do you get stuck with?

My goodness, that is a wonderful looking old book. I've never heard of Wren and Martin. There are quite a few things I mix up from time to time. Which is why I take my offline writing seriously enough to edit it often. I use a couple of New Zealand style books for my editing.

I have this grammarly that drives me round the bend to the extent that even there is more than a space between words I will see a red line. Having said that may be when I do my blogs that would come in handy but not here where anything and everything is allowed (lol)

When i post here i am always in a hurry so sometimes i just edit when it finally published and saw my mistakes .
Anyway , i think myLot isn't much into our grammars because they know that most of us have our full time job to attend before coming here .

@SIMPLYD But if you continue to ignore writing correctly it will become a habit with you.

With how many pp and ss there can be in English as there are only one lot in Spanish so sometimes I forget all about the commas too.
Spanish is a phonetic language so you don´t need two letter p´s say in a word.

Oh yes like I said I forget or am not sure how you spell something and I have to go and look it up and the same goes for Spanish its not an easy language either. I mean for fun okay you can learn a few words but then comes the more difficult parts too and I still work on that most days here and there.

Those whose English is not their first language could have issues. Having said that, I have noticed even those native speakers have issues.

Mine would be "relate to" vs. "relate with". I've never heard of that book in the picture, but I really love the old-school cover!

It matters. Here is an example "I went to the theater" "I went for a show" But it is not that easy many times.

I also have read this book. Although I was never interested reading the book. I opened it only during the exams.

@allknowing Of course,I too am familiar with that text book. But I can't come up with what I get stuck with. Some time back I used to spell some words wrongly, even when I knew the spellings.I will write 'occassion' and correct it to occasion. So also
'sperate 'for 'separate'.
