Actually, the name of the style fully reflects its essence - the spontaneity, freshness and good looks. Baby doll style is not a fatal beauty style, which aims to conquer the men attention It is rather infantile, showing innocence, vulnerability and purity, and reminding clothes of a doll or a fairy. It is delicate and light, and very good for summer seasons.Babydoll dresses make me feel confident and pretty.I guess every young girl will look much better in pink or any other soft color babydoll dress. What do You think?

We only called Baby Dolls the short night gowns of the sixties, not the summer dresses.

Indeed. I remember them. I never wore any, though.

@MALUSE I never wore any too, but I remember them very well. Those very short nightgown for women were designed in 1942 in reponse to a shortage of fabric. The name became popular after 1956, after the movie Baby Doll, starring Carroll Baker.

They will look nice on slim figured girls . Although , they are a bit provocative to me . That's only my opinion .

It's pretty, but I'm way beyond the baby doll dress.

There was this friend of mine who would wear a lot of these and it would just sweep me off my feet....You've just made me remember those days....I think they are elegant and actually bring out the sensuous female element.... Thanks a lot for sharing this and making me a little nostalgic.....Keep shining and smiling....Happiness to you always....:)

I remember this style from the sixties! It is not one that ever suited me. Interesting to see how fashion turns fill circle.

I doubt that 'every young girl will look much better in pink'. Some would look ridiculous and also feel ridiculous. It depends on the individual.
