No holiday today for JJ

While many Americans will enjoy a holiday in honor of Martin Luther King Jr today, not so with our hero.
United Parcel Service (the guys in the big brown trucks) will be running their regular delivery/pick up schedules, which means I have to go in and ship orders out.
Probably not many...it is, after all, winter here, and sumo wrestling is more of a warmer season thing (who wants to wrestle outside when it is below freezing) but we will have the odd orders from schools, etc, people that have room inside to set up for it.
Which means I really would rather be asleep at the moment, but the Scarlarm™ started going off about 11:45 PM, and the cat doesn't have a 'snooze' button, so here I am.

Good morning.
No day off here for me until Good Friday. And actually we will be open so I will probably be scheduled to work. I usually request Easter Sunday off. We close on Dec 24th at 10pm and reopen on Dec 26th at 7 am, so the only guaranteed time I will get off are between those hours.

Flippin' boy simply would not shut up this morning, I ignored him as long as I could but he wasn't quitting until he got to go out.

Have a good day anyways. I. Know the feeling my husband is a truck driver we are lucky if he gets Thanksgiving and Christmas. He had to leave out yesterday.

It's been many a year since I worked somewhere that had a 'regular' Holiday schedule. Oilfields and convenience stores don't take time off normally, and this job I have had 9 1/2 years now...

these guys actually let me sleep in for once..i guess they were too comfy where they were at

We are in the same boat - during the holidays, I'm at the office working. Really don't mind it as I need the extra cash! So while people party and spend money, I grind and make money!
