Would you rather go to the future or back in time?

I personally think going to the future would be my choice for many reasons. Going to the future would mean an experience of a new world, because I'll be able to see things that we don't already have. Technology that is far more innovative and a new way of living. Traveling back in time and seeing how our ancestors lived is nothing new to us because its been recorded and mostly discovered. So what would you do?

Forwards a little way, then back to where I started - with the winning lotto/lottery numbers for that week in my head

@_Koko_ Ah, but you'll always come "back" to the present if you go backwards in time... ;)

I would like to go back in time to know my parents when they were young and see what their life was like back then. That would be in the 30s and 40s.

If I will go to the future, I will try to know all of the upcoming Lotto results and know which companies to spend money investment with. I will also take advantage of whatever technology they have before going back to the present. if I will go to the past, I will either mess up with history or Buy items from that time and sell them in the present as antiques.

Great minds think alike. Better to exploit this time machine.

In my opinion, the future won't be so nice as we wished. I rather prefere to go back. There are several generations I would like to visit: 1) the time when Jesus lived 2) Mesopotamia.

I would prefer to go back -- but not too far back. I would have loved being a teenager in the 1950s.

It is hard to say. If I go to the future, it may not be easy for me to survive. As everything will be far from our imagination and it will be difficult for me to adjust to it. If I go to the past, then I may know many things and teach them "new technology"

Yes but people in the past didn't accept technology well so you might find difficulty there

Interesting question, but yeah probably the future..we have gotten so used to technology now it would be tough to be without it for any period of time.

If i had to pick i would stay right where i am now. In the present. I wouldnt want to see the future because that would changes you decisions when you get back and you might not get to where you need to be. I wouldnt go to the past because everything i did till this day has made me who i am today and has got be far. Although i have made so many mistakes in life it got me to this day where i can say i am very happy.

I would love to do both, go back fix a few things with a different outcome, then move on to the future. If I knew now what I wish I knew then, some things would be different for me.

@_Koko_ yes, that is very true, I look at life as one big adventure book, everyone and everything that was supposed to happened, does so for a reason. You look back and learn from anything that didn't go right.

I would go back in time, and observe important history events. Such as the creation of the Pyramids, The Philadelphia Experiment, The moon landing, the explosion of the atomic bomb, and other important events.

I would exploit the past. Maybe I'd be able to say that perfect reply that only came in my mind two days later in the shower. I would also note all the winning lottery numbers, all the results for the sport bets. I'll be sure to spend at least one quality year. The future is unknown, maybe a huge catastrophe will make things worse.
