Okay Obama...I did NOT like that

So I guess he pardoned/commuted sentences for 273 people or something like that yesterday. And I entirely disagree with his decision to commute the sentence of 'Chelsea Manning' (formerly Brad Manning, but we won't go in to that.) Manning disclosed/leaked almost 750,000 classified or unclassified but sensitive military and diplomatic documents while serving in the Armed Forces. Okay...maybe he/she showed some instances of our country doing things that it shouldn't be proud of, but when your job involves the security and defense of our country, and you have a sworn duty to uphold it, then 'leaking' 3/4 of a million documents is wrong. Period. At least that is my opinion, however unpopular it may be. Obama should have at least thrown them out of the country when they released the person.

I have read two days ago that Julian Assange (Wikileaks) promised to accept to accept extradition to the US IF Obama accepted to commute Chelsea Manning sentence. Now let's see how liar Assange is. I would have not trusted him.

Then it is a poisonous gift to Trump. Assange is already seen like a martyr in a large part of the world, I am not sure that the USA want really to judge him.

I fully expect Assange to continue fighting extradition.

@topffer I fully agree, I am not sure they want to judge him, but if now he accepts extradition I want to see how they are going to manage this "hot potato".

It's definitely a move I could see Trump doing more than Obama.
