Wellington, the capital city of New Zealand, is one of my favourite places and today I'm off there for a couple of days. The weather isn't good, in fact it's blowing a storm down there, but I made the bookings last week, so I'll still be going.
My book club has it's first meeting for the year this morning, then I'm off on the bus straight after lunch. The trip takes just over two hours by bus and parts of it run along some lovely coastline. The sea could look a bit wild today, with the gale force winds that hit the area last night. But I'm rather fond of wild coastlines.
I'll be at my inner city hotel by 3.30 pm , then ready to explore the shops nearby. Not that I'll be doing any shopping, this is more a trip of just looking, walking and breathing in the atmosphere. I will probably spend some time in the library, a wonderful building that I always visit when in the city. Hopefully tomorrow the weather will have passed and I'll be able to walk around the waterfront.
So, until later today when I'll check in here from my hotel, I'm off now to enjoy my day.

Sounds like you have a nice trip planned! Is the photo above depicting the beautiful scenery of Wellington?
Here's a fun tidbit: I used to live in Wellington about 15 years ago! The small town of Wellington in south Florida in the US! haha
Another interesting fact: the neighborhood across the street from where I live now is called Wellington!
