A Lovely Sight

The living room now so ordinary since the Christmas tree was taken down. The days so gray and ordinary no reason to smile. The only good thing was that since we have our own garden and there is all this snow piled up we stuck the Christmas tree into a pile of snow. Its needles are slowly falling but how nice to open the door and see it there.
Then yesterday I notice the Christmas cactus that my hubby bought me last year is starting to bloom. As you can see in the picture it is certainly a lovely sight.
How are you all feeling this week?

Love your idea of a Christmas Cactus. I haven't had one for years!! I just might buy myself one next year. A nice reminder of Christmas long after it is done and all put away!!

That is such a pretty plant. It seems some do well with these while others can't get them to grow.

Actually that plant has a mind of its own. It blossoms whenever it wants to one time even during the summer which surprised me @PatZAnthony I have a method with plants. They seem to love music all kinds so I always make sure that they have some music playing and I suppose those plants which really take to music are the ones how respond the best.

Has always been indoors in the flower pot @TheHorse in really warm summer weather I put all the plants out for about a month and then back in they go.

The flower looks beautiful. It certainly will put some color and cheer into the place.

Your Christmas cactus looks pretty as it's blooming. I have one but it hasn't bloomed yet. Last year it bloomed right in time for Christmas but this year it looks like it's going to be more like an Easter cactus

I don't do well with poinsettias. Had one once and it did well for awhile and then just went kaput @JohnRoberts .
