Home Again - Laundry Day

I'm beginning to love going to the laundromat. I meet some interesting people there. Today I met another person who has done so much in her life and now wants to write a book about her experiences. I told her I was an author and showed her a copy of my book. She was very interested. It's beginning to look like my marketing skills are going to be wherever I am. And I also invited her to our Writer's Guild. She's not certain she'll be able to make it for February, but she's certain for March, and I saw her put it on her phone. She might also join myLot. I told her all about us as well. So it will be interesting to see if she shows up here. So all in all it was a great afternoon. It was also while we were talking that something I mentioned in one of my comments concerning the fog I was in yesterday started making a lot more sense. I don't watch the news. The reason why is because it's so depressing. I turned on the news for five minutes yesterday and for the rest of my day I was in a fog of depression. Well all that is lifted and I'm on top of the world again, right where I belong. Next time I feel like that ask me if I watched the news at all. So now I'm home and ready to interact here and get more accomplished on my game as well. It's great to be busy. I also need to find something to eat. It's after 4 and I've only had breakfast and a banana. As for the rest of my day, I did get my dishes run through the dishwasher and cleaned up the kitchen a bit and put the groceries away from yesterday and my clothes are also put away from doing the laundry today. So I'm doing good with the regular chores as well. Now all that's left is for me to get the garbage to the dumpster. That might wait until tomorrow. So that has been my day so far. How about you? What have you been up to today? Thanks for reading.

You certainly were busy today. I had my classes do a one-day project to work out the cost of resurfacing the running track at the high school. Three of the classes took on the challenge with enthusiasm. The last class was a dud. Oh, well, they can't all be go-getters.

Interesting meeting you had. I don't watch the news very often for the same reason.

I am up, was going to nap but ended up online and awake enough that I wont now, about to go make breakfast and put in contacts, after 8 I will walk the mooch, I try and delay to give him enough time he really wants to poop or it's a waste of time, Yeah walks are good exercise, but I am on my feet enough as it is, they hurt, and i hate wasting a trip if he wont go yet. Then it's to work for 5 hours

I hope you had a good work day. So the mooch still isn't doing his business? He should be used to being where you are by now.

You take copies of your book to the laundry? I agree that you meet interesting people there. I find interesting things. We have a free shelf in ours. We bring food, household goods, books, and clothes there. Anyone can pick out what they need, no questions asked.

I have my books in my car and my car is always locked. So if someone shows interest I can show him/her a copy. Hopefully it generates sales. I have yet to sell one on the spot though.

Glad you got feeling better. Today is now Saturday and I am relaxing with coffee. I did get the garbage rounded up and helped hubby load the big box of garbage from the shop into the truck. He said he didn't need me to help at the dump so I was happy to stay home. Once he is home he will be working on tiling the basement steps so I will feel obligated to do some house work I think. I never minded going to the laundromat when I used to do that. I could relax and read or, like happened to you, encounter someone to have a chat with.

That sounds like a good way to pass your time while your wash is being done. I have to throw a batch of laundry in at 7pm, that is when the cost of electricity drops, so I try to time it that way.

I can quite believe that watching the news would put you in a fog all day. Glad you're feeling more upbeat now.
