Vegetables for long life

Here people say vegetables can make you live longer. I remember my classmate in college telling me I will be the last to die because I always order vegetable dish in the canteen. I can live with just vegetables in a week without so much meat. I like fresh vegetables salad too. I also get that in buffets. I love cauliflowers and lettuce. What I hate is the bitter ampalaya. Do you like eating veggies? What's your favorite?

I think fruits are like vegetables too. They both can make you healthy and live longer

@LadyDuck Good to know. She is not sickly? She's still alive at 96 four years more and she's a centenarian. That's amazing

@averygirl72 May be, but I believe that what makes you healthy and live longer is eating what you like if you prepare it at home. My mother is 96, she never ate fruits and veggies, but she always cooked all her meals, never bought pre-made food.

i don't mind eating ampalaya now that i'm older. what i still don't like are saluyot, okra and upo.

For supper I will eat some celery, tomatoes, ginger, cabbage and cucumber. Vegetables are very important for their mineral content. We should eat a few every day. Live long and prosper!

I actually like vegetables. I must admit that I am a meat (protein) eater though. I know veggies don't have that many carbs...but still. I have to have meat. I believe eating healthy might help you live longer, it will give you a better quality of life, but when your time has come, there is no changing that. Just a personal belief, but people get killed everyday from things that have nothing to do with health.

Yeah some times people who are health conscious die early because of other reason other than health like accidents or disasters

I have no favorite when it comes to vegetables. I do like some, but we aren't chums.

I love eating meats too but If I will be the one to prepare my food everyday, I prefer less meat and more veggies.

I like cucumbers. Avocado is considered as fruit here not vegetables
