Escaping the British winter for a while

We have experienced a few bitterly cold days over the past week, so I have finally conceded and decided to avoid this British weather for a while. On Friday I shall be flying to Cyprus for 8 days, where I expect the temperature to be a little more acceptable.
These days I am not comfortable about taking a flight in excess of 5 hours, but the choice of closer destinations is becoming limited.
This will be the first time that I have seen Cyprus, so it should be a pleasant change at least.

Well done! You deserve a holiday. After all it's a long time since the last one. What is it.... already a week that you came back from the last one?
Enjoy! But why do you go only for such a short time?

@Asylum Make the most of your many short trips. I think it must be the best way to enjoy your retirement

@Asylum no my friend. Its a product of vaseline. It can keep your skin moist. Instead of being too dry because of winter.

If you really want predicted weather then India is the place for you. I cannot say it is perfect but far better than other countries.

I've no clue what the weather is like there. Is it warm or even hot perhaps. Do you have someone that watches over your place when you're away on your many excursions, or is the short time you're home in between each of them enough to be sure no one is bothering the place?
