As our friend turns 93!

One of our friends just turned 93!
She told us while still in her 80s that she did not want to live to be 90. Now that she is in her 90s, she says she does not want to live to be 100! We find this amusing because she really enjoys her daily life.
As she is fortunate to be in good health and have the funds needed to live well, she does whatever she wants to do. Although no longer driving, she has someone (hired) taking her places she enjoys.
Her secrets (if there are any) to living longer? Be active, have a good attitude, eat plenty of vegetables and fruit daily.

@PatZAnthony My Mom was a seamstress when she was young (during World War II). After she married, 67 years ago, she has been housewife.

She still does the things she thinks work for her. We really enjoy visiting with her.

I think it's mostly good genes that allows us to live longer or not. And God's will too of course.

Wow, it means she's healthy. Does she still have a sharp body and mind? Don't she have any maintenance medicine yet?

Got it... more veggies and fruit. I wish she would have added chocolate to the list thought! haha. It would have made gagging over some of the veggies a little easier. ;)

More and more people are living into their 90s and 100s--remember at 30 we couldn't even imagine being 60?!?!!?

Your title intrigued me because my mom always said she didn't want to live to be ninety either, but she didn't start saying that until her eyesight went downhill fast and she was already in her eighties. Now she has dementia and I think it's related to her desire to go asap.
I have an aunt that is turning ninety soon. She's pretty upbeat although she's living in a group home type facility. At least your friend seems to enjoy life as she's living it even if she doesn't want to live as long as possible.
