A flower a day

I have this hibiscus plant that delights me with a flower a day. I have had it for several years and enjoy the indoor flower blooms in winter. I watch as the buds start to open up and eventually this large peach flower comes out. It lasts about a day then another one blooms. Occasionally I will have two or more blooms at the same time. It is a real delight to have a bit of the tropics indoors during these long winter months.

I think it may be the type of hibiscus. I did have another one and the flowers stayed longer than a day. Sadly I lost it.

Do they come in other colours too?

Yes they come in many other colors - I have had red, orange and white in the past.

That is the only bad thing about hibiscus. They last just for a day. I have a few hibiscus plants too

One of my favorites! They're really pretty. I didn't know that they could grow well indoors too!

They do grow very well indoors, I was quite surprised.

Hibiscus plants are beautiful. There are so many colours and sizes. My mother had a lovely single cream one. The flowers were huge.
