My Daughter Got Me Some New Reading Glasses

I really like my new glasses. My daughter went to the store(Walmart and the Dollar Store) and got what we needed that could be bought at these places. My reading glasses are one step stronger than the last(1.50 from 1.25). That's not really good but it is so nice to be able to see better. I think my cataract is getting worse. Looking back over the last twenty years or so I recall times when I couldn't drive and get myself to work because my eyes were so blurry. Can you imagine? Getting out and driving down the road and realizing your eyes are too blurry and you'd better turn around and go home. Scary. Now I know it to be the cataracts. Then I thought it was allergies. So, I have had this for about twenty years. The eye doctor said that we will keep track and when the one gets real bad I will have some surgery. The glasses are nice. Sort of a mauve color with striped ears holders. What are those things called that go over the ears? Silly me. I can't think of their name. See? This is what I mean. I am getting this problem finding the right word or sometimes saying a word and recognizing what it is. Dementia or old age?
