The Passports Arrived Today

And hubby is saying it's not too late to go away. He doesn't have to be back to work until next Thursday at 7pm. I don't know if he plans on talking to my daughter when she gets home to see if she can get something right away. We only need a few days. My daughter went to Mexico awhile back for only two days, but last minute rushes are not my favorite. We shall see.

I hope so too. My husband keeps telling me to research accommodations and I keep telling him it's up to our daughter. I don't know WHERE to research when I don't know WHERE we can get a flight to. And she can get discounts on resorts too, and since we gave her $7,000 for her education the least she could do is book us trips.

@JudyEv If we can get on a flight on standby, we only pay the taxes of a regular priced ticket. It cost my husband $25 to fly to Prince Edward Island, in Canada, last year. A flight that would normally costs $400+. I can't do it. She has to do it.

A quickly last minute vacation is often better than none. We (my husband and I) went to Vancouver for a weekend a number of years ago. We totally enjoyed it.

I asked my husband whether he asked my daughter to check on flights. I said we can't do it, she has to do it and she also gets deals on hotels. He expected me to look for hotel deals. Ridiculous. He didn't ask her, she left with her boyfriend, which pretty much means she is gone for the weekend. She'll pop in to feed her rabbit tomorrow but who knows when. She is more responsive to him than me. I don't know why he didn't say anything to her other than what I said, "We got our passports today". smh
