Have you ever tried typing with your hand opposite to the one you usually type with?
I guess it's my turn to have that experience today.
My right-hand wrist is hurting so, I am using my left hand. Still not quiet able to manage without right hand intervening every now and then. I am guessing righty is not happy with lefty to take its place.
Don't mind me if I am slow at getting back to you. Pain or not, I am not leaving here. Since I can't do any work that puts strain on my wrist, I have nothing better to do other than myLot and see what you all are up to.
Hope you all are having a good start on your weekend. I just received my new book delivery. I bought three. The last of which arrived today.
I can't wait to open up the packet and smell that "new" book aroma. Do you love the smell of a new book too?

@Daljinder We stopped outside a harness store in France and although it was closed we could still smell the leather. Such a beautiful smell.

I love the smell of paper. That's why I still use paper planners and don't depend on my phone for my schedules and I have more than a dozen.

@toniganzon First thing: I was looking at your profile name and picture and wondering "Who are you?" It looked familiar yet it didn't. Finally, I realized who you are. You have changed your profile picture.
Yeah same here!

The smell of new books indeed takes me back to my childhood. Father was in charge of getting them for us. We were a large brood and that needed loads to be brought. Then they had to be covered and labelled that the older siblings did all that. All resolutions were made that we would be careful with out books and those resolutions did not last a month. Soon there would be dogs' ears, spillt ink and stuff................those were the days.
Hope your hand gets ok. It can be a nuisance having to depend on just one hand.

I a former secretary - I type with both hands, using all fingers!
Don't push it if it hurts bad.

@AbbyGreenhill It was a 24 hour deal. One of the after effects of the sickness I had last September.

You did pretty well with just one hand! I find it pretty awkward to type with just my left hand.

@Daljinder I can only imagine! I just typed this whole comment with my left hand and I'll keep it short.

@Daljinder Glad to hear.Haven't bought a book recently. We imposed a moratorium until we've read a few that we got from way back.

@Beatburn I am waiting two copies of a book by the end of this month and I am again excited about it. I am sending one copy to a friend as a gift.
My hand has been fine. It's been a while since that incident.

@just4him I absolutely LOVE reading. I have no favourite author. Whatever catches my interest becomes my favourite for the moment. That's what I have been doing here...reading since I couldn't type much and faster. Now catching up on answering back.
