Pyeongchang vs Pyongyang! There is a difference / myLot

I have just seen something amusing and I wanted to share it. Somebody on another site posted about how excited they are about the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Pyongyang!! Now, Pyongyang is the capital of that *lovely* country NORTH KOREA! I am sure there will be no olympics there anytime soon. The person surely meant Pyeongchang in South Korea where the winter games will take place next winter.

A small mistake, but a big difference. You are right, there will be no Olympics in North Korea.

It's amusing. Even though the two countries are right beside each other the difference is enormous.

That is quite a big difference haha the Winter Olympic amazing, but it is probably good to know the difference between those two places haha

I noticed this too. If some people ask for the wrong visa they will not have exactly the same fun

Uh-oh! That would be an awful mistake to make if a person wanted to actually attend the Winter Olympics, I certainly wouldn't want to end up visiting North Korea! @tzwrites , I hope people will be as aware of the difference as you were, otherwise there are certainly some nasty surprises ahead!

OH my goodness gracious me. What a mistake not only is it the wrong city it is the wrong country too. I hope this terrible country starts to look after its people properly. It is such a sad state of affairs.
