Trump going hard on Iran

There is an ongoing twitter war between Trump and the Iranians. Trump vowed to impose sanctions on Iran and spoke out against the Iranian-sponsored terrorism. Iranians vowed to take actions too. I don't know what business Trump has with Iran. Maybe he is trying to please his allies in Saudi Arabia or in Tel Aviv. But how good this would be for the US, is another matter. It should be noted that Iran, while indeed sponsoring terrorism in some countries, poses no threat whatsoever on the US. Another interesting point to note, is that while he vows actions against Iranians, US air force is providing protection and assistance to Iranian militias in Iraq. Politics is indeed hard to understand

It will turn probably bad for American companies installed in Iran since the UN lifted their sanctions against this country last year. I do not understand what are the priorities of Trump ? Like you said, Iran is engaged against ISIS, and ISIS represents the main threat against western countries, not Iran. And why a travel ban on Iraq which is also actively fighting against ISIS ? Besides a test made on a short range missile does not represent any threat for Saudi Arabia or Israel and was not deserving these new sanctions.

@Madshadi You never know with him : yesterday, he issued a warning to Israel that has been badly received in Israel. If he continues, he will have all the world against him.

@topffer He seems to be good at making enemies. I think his arrogance has something to do with that

The real threat to Saudi Arabia and Israel is in the Iranian expansion. But again, that does not affect the US in any way. The only logical reason behind this is that Trump is trying to please his allies in Saudi Arabia and Israel.

Not politics...diplomacy and trump is no diplomat. Trump needs to forget his reality TV career and remember the office he now occupies. He's an egomaniac and he really needs to leave twitter during his presidency as he's fast becoming a disgrace to the office. I agree with him on a lot of issues but sometimes less is more...leave diplomacy to professional diplomats and stop with the tweets. I didn't agree with a lot of what Obama said and did but he was a class act...Trump lacks class and polish in my opinion.

I agree with that. Someone in his position should at least have some class. I heard how the other day he hang up on Australia's PM.
