Learn to read and you won't look so stupid

Once we got the old counter tops off and the bathroom sinks and faucets removed, my neighbor asked if I was going to list them on the Facebook yard sale groups...of course!!
So I posted the following:
'Laminate counter top 43 inches by 22 inches, asking $20.
Delta faucets and white drop in sinks, only a few years old, asking $100 for both faucets and both sinks.'
I posted photos of the sinks/faucets and another photo (see above) of the counter top. I thought by the description that it is quite obvious that I was selling the top and not the cabinet. Wrong.
So far three people sent messages asking how much the cabinet is...dah...does it say anywhere that the cabinet is for sale? No it doesn't.
This is just another example of how people are in such a hurry they don't comprehend what they read.
I did get one message from a lady who says she is interested in the counter top, so there is some hope!
Note: I have gone back to my ads and added, "The cabinet is not for sale!" Maybe they will get the message!
Photo is mine.

@VivaLaDani13 No silly billy! The peeps you deal with. Remember that girl who couldn't remember the price and would ask or change the amount everytime you talked? She would quote higher amount than you asked

Yes, many times people will not read the whole sales tag.

@AbbyGreenhill That reminds me of a yard sale I had many years ago. I had a collection of paper backs I wanted to sell and I had a price tag on them. They sat in a trunk that I had kept them in. I thought it was best to display them in the trunk. The trunk was not for sale. But, I had someone ask how much the trunk was. I had to explain that it was only the paper back books that was for sale.

@LeaPea2417 Yes, I think anyone who has had a yard sale has things like that happen. Many moons ago I had a yard sale , this was back in the early 80's....and I had a small metal tool box with a rotted out bottom, I had it out for trash..a lady wanted to buy it..I told her it had no bottom he didn't care...so I sold it for a buck.

I spelled it out clearly...they should understand - If I only put a photo of the top they would say, "What is that???"

I hope you get a buyer, nice to be able to make something on stuff like that, esp when it means not having to pitch it

Just writing here and then reading the comments left on our posts tell us if they read the article or not..it amazes how many don't read. I often make the title on purpose, not relate to the article, just to see who reads and doesn't...Glad to know your getting some action from FB.

I always get action, sometimes it takes a little longer - with superbowl and church today I didn't expect to get much interest.
I know people don't read, some people...

I sell on ebay, and I always put the measurements of the item on the posting. I can't tell you how many people message me asking for the measurements, drives me nuts. Just read

You can give them dimensions, color, weight, size, shape, etc...and they still ask - they don't read too lazy I assume.
