More About Dinosaur Bones

Many people have been led to believe that dinosaurs existed, but I am not convinced, based on the research I've done. When I found out that what the museums display as "dinosaurs" are plaster and the actual bones that are in a display case near the plaster display, are only small fragments that they CLAIM, are the dinosaur bones, I began to question the existence of dinosaurs. The very name "dinosaur" is a modern invention, coined by a paleontologist, Richard Owen, in 1842. In fact, all the "names" given to these bone fragments, that have been found, were created by scientists. None of these names are found in ancient books, including the Bible. I have no doubt that ancient bones have been found, but what the animal may have looked like is questionable. How old the bones found actually are, is also VERY questionable due to the fact that bones dissolve after years of being buried in the ground. No bone would remain intact after millions of years. That’s what scientists claim: that dinosaurs roamed the earth millions of years ago. So, while the scientists are trying to convince us of that, they are also trying to convince us that the fragments of bones that have been found in the last 200 years or so are bones from animals that lived and died millions of years ago and have been buried in the ground for millions of years and that is simply impossible. Bones dissolve in a very short time when buried in the ground. Any bone fragments that have been found in recent years, would more likely be from animals that lived and died more recently, and NOT dinosaur bones from millions of years ago. Some scientists, in an effort to gain fame and fortune have fraudulently pieced bones from different sources together and CLAIMED to have discovered all sorts of things, like what they call "early man." One such fraud involved an animal skull and bones. The "pictures" you see in some modern science books and even SCHOOL books are merely an "artist's conception" of what "early man" MIGHT HAVE looked like. It's all a hoax. You can do your own research about dinosaurs. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piltdown_Man

It most certainly is not a hoax.

@IreneVincent open up any science textbook. Not everything is a conspiracy. There's a great meme that pops up on Facebook every so often that says "The great thing about science is that it is true whether or not you believe in it."

@NJChicaa But that's just my point. Science books publish artist's conceptions of what "dinosaurs" and "early man" MIGHT HAVE looked like. No one really knows what they looked like. And bone fragments don't tell scientists much at all. If a person believes in what is written in science books, there is another problem. Scientists don't agree with each other, so which Science book is a person supposed to believe?

I have done research looking into fossilized dinosaur bones. (This discussion reminds me of an argument a person wrote several years ago on WebAnswers. At the time, local papers were covering a story about the fossilized remains of a dinosaur scientists had found. The woman who started the argument thought scientists had found a LIVING dinosaur. It took several days to get her to understand her mistake.) Uhm... I believe you have misunderstood something. Scientists are not claiming to have found actual bones from dinosaurs. They are claiming they have found fossilized bones of dinosaurs. Bones can and do fossilize under the right conditions. (Fossilization is the replacement of calcium in the bones by minerals found in the ground.)

Yes, I'm aware of what fossilized bones are. However, I still do not believe that what scientists call dinosaurs lived on the earth MILLIONS of years ago and that paleontologists that rush to a construction site, just happen to find these fossilized bones just lying around in the dirt. That makes NO sense to me at all.

@IreneVincent Uhm... fossilized bones aren't usually found "just lying around in the dirt". The best places to locate fossilized dinosaur bones are in places where there is little/no ground cover to hide the fossils, like along rivers or streams where the naturally occurring erosion of the water has cut through ancient sea beds or ancient marshlands. (Ancient sea beds and marshlands are places where the rain or melt water have deposited silt/topsoil/sand which has turned to stone.)

The research I've done points to a LOT of hoaxes.
