"Cheer up sleepy Jean . . . Oh what can it mean to a Daydream believer and a Homecoming queen" Good morning to you as the ear-worm of "Daydream Believer" totally takes over my mind this morning and my first thought is to wish Barry a speedy recovery as he feels a little under the weather after return from another Island somewhere! I am always cheerful getting postcards in the letterbox, but this one was delivered by special messenger because my friend at the post office said she didn't want any harm to come of it. Now that's what I call excellent service! We were just talking the other day about post arriving in tatters, to which I mentioned that my post always arrives in very good condition! Here is the proof - not a bent end - that's if you can find any end's? and stamps all in tact! Thank you Barry @Asylum for the absolutely "BEST SHAPED POSTCARD" as yet! I agree totally with you, all Islands should have a similar island shape to their postcards as well - Imagine how beautiful and interesting post would look!! I absolutely love the stamps as well - would you say cycling on this Island is very popular? In conclusion to my morning greeting let me just say that I am also a Daydream Believer! Are you?

That was very thoughtful of the Post Office lady. Due to the unorthodox shape of these postcards it is necessary to make them large so that there is room for a message etcetera. This of course makes them more difficult to deliver intact.

@Inlemay Many places suggest adding 2 postage stamps for larger postcards or international delivery, which is often overkill. As a rule I check with the local post office, but in this case it seemed worthwhile placing 2 stamps on to be assured of coverage.

That certainly is a lovely shaped card. A pity Barry fell ill before coming home.

It was in Cyprus that I fell ill, whereas this postcard was from Tenerife a few weeks earlier.

Tenerife has a shape very similar to Sicily and I am sure that Barry enjoyed a lot more his vacation there than the most recent in Cyprus. It's horrible to fell ill when you are traveling.

I spent my growing up years daydreaming the days away when not at school or reading a good book. I do like that song, though. I happened to see this post in the side bar a moment ago and was taken by the photo. Is Tenerife on the island Barry just returned from? I thought it was elsewhere, but never having been, what do I know? I remember one of the guys from bubblews that lived there. I thought it was an island near Spain or something. Never mind, I saw Anna's response.
