Wednesday 8th February 2017 The eve of my 55th birthday, and the last day I shall ever be 54. I feel as if the day before a birthday should be a day to celebrate in itself but then, like The Mad Hatter I think we should celebrate all 364 of our un-birthdays. The day was spent much as any other, job searching, reading and writing. Thursday 9th February 2017 My actual birthday, and turning 55 feels no different to being 54. There is no click as one becomes the other. My main celebrations were at weekend so I already have all the cards and lovely presents I am likely to receive for which I am hugely grateful. My only post today was outright junk mail though my mum phoned me to wish me a happy birthday. I did get almost 200 birthday messages on Facebook and a few right here on Mylot too. Again it has been a routine job search day but not unpleasant. Thank you to everyone for your good wishes. I may well be celebrating over the weekend in some way or other.
