I know several others have considered it as well. I just happened upon this today and thought "Oh boy, do I splurge?"
I have the savings, I do, but well... I don't know yet whether I want to spend the money. This DNA test is supposed to break down even more than AncestryDNA did.
It is supposed to offer the ability to tell what parts of your DNA you inherit from your parents. I am not sure if this would include or exclude where geologically or not....
Hmm.. I've listed the site below
dna

@ScribbledAdNauseum .....Oh, it is good to check such things before doing it. Glad she found that for you.

I have the money, but I'd have to be dipping into my savings. Of course Anna above linked me to an article that says the DNA tests are nothing more than a scam.

@celticeagle I'll do my own research though. The article was very informative, but I want to see what others think as well.

It definitely gives me pause. I don't discredit the author of this article, or the researchers they enlisted... However the article is several years old, and that is why it gives me pause.
It wasn't something (The dna test) I was thinking of ordering right away anyway. The opportunity (the cheaper rate) may very well pass me by before I decide... Still, I'll do more research on my own.
Thank you for the article.

@ScribbledAdNauseum You know, one of my cousin is a Doctor and he works for a DNA testing company, not for pleasure, he works for the forensic and the police. We discussed the DNA matter many times, he explained very well what works and what not.

@LadyDuck As in, what parts of the DNA they use to gather the evidence they need for comparisons?

I did the dna test from Ancestry DNA. This would have told me more.

I did the DNA test from ancestry as well, but want to compare to others.
