This morning, as usual, I went onto the Pixabay website to have a look at the new images on their Editors Pick spot. The very first one was this of ET. What memories this image brought back to me. I can remember when the movie first came out. My girls and I were all enthralled with this movie. We couldn't get enough of it My girls would pile up their dolls and stuffed animals in hopes that a creature such as ET would appear there amongst them. Oh course it never happened. But as you know hope springs eternal. Now, many years later my girls play that movie for their own children who all have been swept up in the magic of ET. Do you remember this movie? The innocence and heart-felt love seemed to shine in every frame of it. I love movies like this. Image from Pixabay : pixabay.com/en/et-extraterrestrial-creature-figure-2006631/

@AbbyGreenhill I still do. Not many movies cause me to cry, this is one of them and Old Yeller is another.

This is one of my favorites movies of all time. The first time I seen it was at the cinema when I took my then 5 year old niece to see it. I have watched it many times since then and even bought a copy of it so I could watch it over and over again. I played it for my kids and now my grand daughter watches it. Such a great movie!

It's one of those movies that never grows old. I cannot believe how popular it seems to still be.

I loved the movie and still do . . . and now my kids love it too. What's interesting is they filmed parts of this near us, so to see some familiar areas in the film make us smile. And we're still in the area.

@HazySue We recently passed by the street where ET and the kids took off in flight with their bikes (towards the end of the movie). They thought it was cool.

@much2say that is so neat. I love when you get to see the actual spots where a favored movie was filmed.

One of my favorite movies and not too long ago it was offered on Netflix so I watched it again. I couldn't believe I cried just like I did the first time I saw it.
