What do you think about the food served on airplanes?

February 11, 2017 3:20pm CST
In general: Do you think they are good, bad? Depends on airline company? Depends on a specific season? Depends on the class you are traveling in? Particularly, I think it depends on the financial aspect. Although the economy class has good food, I have traveled first class (just a few times) and the difference is really remarkable (in overall).

@TheInvisibleMan I've only ever had a sandwich and cup of tea on a plane. I didn't mind it. I've never had the cooked food though. Even then I don't think I would care. Whatever keeps my mind off the flight.

@VivaLaDani13 LOL! You reminded me of this movie scene. The actress is scared of flights and she is singing silly things to overcome it.

I'd really love to be able to travel first-class but it's beyond our means. Vince has done it once when his workplace sent him on a conference.

The food they are serving depends on the ticket you have paid. It is understandable why they serve food based on class.

I have travelled by Air India. Food served on the board is always of high quality. Of course they serve more variety and more sumptuous food to Business class passengers.

it depends.one place i went,on the way out i had coach.coming back,i had first class. they gave me this ridiculous meat rollup looking thing in sauce with 4 green beans sticking out.you could starve a bug. i asked the stewardess if it was too late to have a tuna fish sandwich like coach..she rolled her eyes at me. whatever,lady..i like tuna fish.

only had one flight with in-flight meals - two if you count the return journey - it was basic but perfectly edible

I wouldn't know because I have not been on an airplane since I was a baby. I rode an Amtrak train almost four years ago and the food was good, but costly!

We don't eat those foods. It is easy to carry a snack if you really need to avoid what they have.

You mean that is supposed to be food? Most of my experience has been barely edible. Even the packaged stuff is usually stale.

Haven't been on a plane long enough to have more than just a drink and the standard nuts, lol. But I do know that airport food is expensive!
