How I spent my weekend

Right now I am exhausted. I forgot my iron pills yesterday and I had to shovel my driveway today which left me shaky. I just got started on the book "The Lost Symbol" by Dan Brown. Yesterday my daughter went to her friends house for a sleepover. I took my son and my niece to get groceries and bowling as I had free passes. The photo I posted was of the neat pattern on the tables at the bowling alley. Right after we got home my boyfriend, his son and puppy came over and spent the night. The boys played a new video game my boyfriends son got. The puppy is being more gentle, calmer and had no accidents in my house at all. I was very happy. Her fur is changing on her back towards her tail, its getting wavy and wiry. This morning my man made a huge breakfast off eggs, fried potatoes, sausage and biscuits. I rarely eat breakfast. I was so full I could barely drink my coffee.

A good breakfast gives you fuel for the day.

It allowed me to take my iron pill and mutlivitamin but the large breakfast didn't help with anything else. I am so tired I think I need to close my eyes for awhile.

@shaggin I have been good. No complaints. I have been around. Here and another writing site I use. And I have been on and off the computer lately. So I am trying to get my groove back. It is nice to see you here as well. I miss seeing you all the time. You have some good posts. Well, maybe this year we will see a lot of each other here. Enjoy your night.

Sounds like you had fun bowling did the kids enjoy themselves? Wow all that food I would be full also. We try to eat a big breakfast once a month. Glad to hear the puppy is more gentle and calmer now. I hope the boys got along good and played good together I know you said he likes to be mean with your son

The boys got along better but my son was in a terrible mood this morning probably from staying up late last night to watch the movie. My boyfriend says he makes big meals like that for his son and him every weekend. It's interesting to see how even with the puppy he and I are very different. It shows how much are parenting styles are so different.

@shaggin Different parenting styles could be a issue especially if you are ever to get married. I am sure your son will sleep well tonight since he was up late last night.

@Tina30219 My late husband allowed me to do the discipline so that worked out good. My man wants to have a baby and our vast differences with parenting styles would make it very tough.

You certainly had a busy and nice weekend. That breakfast your boyfriend made sounds delicious! I'm happy to hear that the puppy didn't bite or make a mess.

Last night the puppy had an accident while I was in the shower and I did not realize it until this morning. I thought it was just a wet spot on the carpet in front of our door from thir boots. It still looked wet this morning and so I smelled it and realized what it was. It needs to be replaced anyway since the rubber on the bottom is too old and crumbling so I threw it out the door. As soon as I got that cleaned up I saw a puddle on the kitchen floor from when my man woke up this morning and let her out before I was awake. Not a good way to start my day.

@shaggin That is so frustrating. We took our puppy out almost every hour, praised him, and gave him a treat. It must be consistent when training him. I'm sure you weren't too happy about it, but it will get better.

Yes it is a relief she is biting less! She has moved on to chewing the wooden chair legs now :-/

@JudyEv I can stop her from chewing the legs when she does it by distracting her. I'd much rather her chew objects then then mean biting.

@shaggin I've heard Labradors are quite slow-maturing so maybe she'll be chewing things for a bit longer.

I didn't have much energy so I was very happy not to have to clean up any accidents. Now I just need to muster up the energy to wash my floors from the puppy getting them dirty each time it went in and out of the house. The flooring I have shows every footstep or paw print I hate that.

@Happy2BeMe dirt I do not mind as much as other things she has tracked in. Some days I keep baby wipes by the door to clean her paws when she comes in.

Hmm I do not recall I don't think it has snowed too much at that point when he left. He did shovel my sidewalk but not the whole driveway. He has his own long driveway to shovel at his house he would never do mine. He went by and beeped while I was shoveling my driveway with my son today. I jumped a mile and laughed and my dad said "oh I didn't know it was him I flipped him off" lol

I haven't been bowling in awhile now. I get the iron shot now so much easier but it does wear off and then you get tired.

I have never heard of an iron shot. Sounds like your anemia must be severe if they give you that. How often do you have to get the shot?

I normally don't have breakfast but after reading what you had now I want some. Sometimes we have breakfast for dinner its fun, easy and taste good.We don't get snow hardly ever and when we do it melts right away usually not enough to really give much thought to.

I spent a long time shoveling my driveway yesterday. My father and son helped as well. It's exhausting but excellent exercise. My kids and I have breakfast for dinner as well..Eggs and pancakes etc.

This was the first time I forgot to take them since I started taking them and after this experience of utter exhaustion today I will hopefully never forget again.
